What each ingredient does.

5g

Creatine monohydrate

Supports strength and power during repeated, high-intensity efforts. Your muscles store creatine as phosphocreatine, which helps replenish ATP, the energy used for muscle contraction.

290mg

Sodium

Helps maintain fluid balance and supports nerve signals. Sodium also plays a role in transporting creatine into cells.

630mg

Chloride

Works with sodium to support fluid balance. Chloride is also required by the transporter that carries creatine into cells.

200mg

Potassium

Helps maintain fluid balance inside cells and supports normal nerve signaling and muscle contraction.

60mg

Magnesium

Supports normal muscle and nerve function and the reactions that help your body produce and use energy.

Creatine transport depends on sodium and chloride.

How creatine enters a muscle cellA simplified diagram shows creatine, sodium, and chloride entering a muscle cell through the SLC6A8 transporter in the cell membrane.CrNa⁺Cl⁻CreatineSodiumChlorideCell membraneInside a muscle cellSLC6A8

Transport into the cell

The creatine transporter, SLC6A8, uses sodium and chloride to move creatine across the cell membrane.

Support for repeated effort

Once stored as phosphocreatine, creatine helps regenerate ATP during short bursts of intense exercise.

This describes normal creatine transport. Greater absorption or performance from Harlo versus creatine alone has not been established.

Research and certification sources

A six-week randomized trial in 23 male recreational cyclists found improvements in repeated sprint power with a creatine-electrolyte supplement compared with placebo.

The study used a different formula from Harlo and did not include a creatine-only group. It cannot establish that Harlo improves absorption or performance over plain creatine.
